A046 fault in WEG CFW900 Drive

A046 alarm in WEG CFW900 Drive indicates a High Load on the Motor. This means the system is drawing excessive current and approaching its thermal overload limits, warning of a potential trip.
Cause:

  • Parameters C7.4.3, C7.4.4, and C7.4.5 settings are configured too low for the used motor.
  • Excessive load at the motor shaft.

Note: This alarm can be disabled by setting parameter C7.4.1 = 0 or 2.

Remedy:

Adjust motor overload protection parameters C7.4.3, C7.4.4, and C7.4.5 to match motor load specifications. Check for mechanical blocks on the motor shaft.
