Cause : DC link overvoltage - comes when excessive intermediate circuit DC voltage due to high input supply or braking without brake resistor.

  1. Check that overvoltage control is on (parameter 30.30 Overvoltage control).
  2. Check that the supply voltage matches the nominal input voltage of the drive.
  3. Check the supply line for static or transient overvoltage.
  4. Check deceleration time.
  5. Use coast-to-stop function (if applicable).
  6. Retrofit drive with brake chopper and brake resistor.
  7. Check that the brake resistor is dimensioned properly and the resistance is between acceptable range for the drive.
