Cause : DEVICE OVERTEMP comes when drive IGBT temperature is excessive. Alarm limit is 120 °C. This means the internal temperature of the drive, specifically the Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs), is exceeding its safe operating limit.

The A2009 alarm code on your ABB ACS310 drive indicates a DEVICE OVERTEMP issue. This means the internal temperature of the drive is exceeding its safe operating limit.

  1. Check ambient conditions.
  2. Check air flow and fan operation.
  3. Check motor power against drive power.
