Cause : OVERCURRENT comes when the drive has detected an excessive current condition in its output stage. This fault typically occurs when the current flowing through the drive exceeds safe operating limits, which could potentially lead to damage if not addressed promptly.

The "F0001" fault code on an ABB ACS310 drive indicates an "Overcurrent" fault. This fault specifically points to an excessive current condition detected within the drive's output stage.

  1. xCheck motor load.
  2. Check acceleration time (2202 and 2205).
  3. Check motor and motor cable (including phasing).
  4. Check ambient conditions.
  5. Load capacity decreases if installation site ambient temperature exceeds 40 °C.
