Cause : IGBT overload comes when the IGBTs in the drive are experiencing excessive current or overheating. . This fault protects the IGBT and can be activated by a short circuit in the motor cable.

The 2381 fault code in your ABB ACS560 drive indicates an IGBT overload. IGBT (Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistor) is a type of semiconductor device used within the drive's internal circuitry to regulate power flow to the motor. A 2381 fault signifies that these IGBTs are experiencing excessive overload conditions.

  1. Check motor cable.
  2. Check ambient conditions.
  3. Check air flow and fan operation.
  4. Check heatsink fins for dust pick-up.
  5. Check motor power against drive power.
