Cause : IGBT overload comes when excessive IGBT junction to case temperature. This warning protects the IGBT and can be activated by a short circuit in the motor cable.

The A2BA fault code in your ABB ACS560 drive indicates an IGBT overload alarm. IGBTs (Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistors) are semiconductor devices that control the power flow to the motor in the VFD. This fault signifies that the IGBTs are experiencing an overload condition.

  1. Check motor cable.
  2. Check ambient conditions.
  3. Check air flow and fan operation.
  4. Check heatsink fins for dust pick-up.
  5. Check motor power against drive power.
