Cause : RUN ENABLE comes when no Run enable signal received. This signal acts like a permission switch for the drive, allowing it to operate the motor.

The code FF8E in your ABB ACS800 drive indicates a fault related to the Run Enable signal. This signal is typically used to initiate or permit motor operation from an external source, such as a control panel or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). An FF8E fault signifies that the drive is not receiving the expected Run Enable signal.

  • Check setting of parameter 16.01. Switch on signal or check wiring of selected source.
