Cause : DC link overvoltage comes when excessive intermediate circuit DC voltage due to high input supply or hardware issue in drive.

A DC link overvoltage fault 3E04 in an ABB ACS880 drive indicates that the voltage in the DC link has exceeded the allowable limit.

  • Check parameter: Check that parameter 95.1 Supply voltage is set according to the supply voltage in use.
  • Measure Input Voltage: Use a multimeter to measure the input voltage to the drive. Ensure that the voltage is within the specified range and not excessively high.
  • Inspect Supply Stability: Ensure that the power supply is stable and not experiencing significant fluctuations or transients.
