Cause : Licensing fault- There are two types of licenses being used in ACS880 drives: licenses that need to be found from the unit which allow the firmware to be executed, and licenses that prevent the firmware from running.

  1. The license is indicated by the value of the auxiliary code field.
  2. The license is Nxxxx, where xxxx is indicated by the 4-digit value of the auxiliary code field. 8201: A restrictive license is found from the unit.
  3. The firmware on this inverter unit cannot be executed because a Low harmonic license is found from the unit.
  4. This unit is meant to be used with IGBT supply control program (2Q) only.
  5. Check the line-converter control program.
  6. Record the auxiliary codes of all active licensing faults and contact your product vendor for further instructions.
  7. This fault requires a reboot of the control unit either by switching the power off and on.
