Cause : Motor speed feedback comes when no motor speed feedback received. The fault code 7301 in your ABB ACS880 drive indicates a communication fault between the motor and the drive related to speed feedback. This means the drive isn't receiving the necessary information about the motor's rotational speed.

  1. Visually Inspect the Encoder: Carefully inspect the encoder for any signs of physical damage, dirt, or excessive wear on the encoder disc.
  2. Check Encoder Cable: Verify that the encoder cable is securely connected at both ends (to the encoder and the drive). Look for any signs of cuts, fraying, or corrosion on the cable.
  3. Review Drive Parameters: Double-check the settings of relevant parameters within the ABB ACS880 drive that control the encoder. These might include encoder type, pulses per revolution (PPR), and wiring configuration.
