Cause : External warning 5 comes when fault in external device 5. This is a programmable warning and reset by parameter.
The A985 warning in your ABB ACS880 drive indicates an issue with an external device connected to the drive and monitored by a programmable warning function.
- Check the external device.
- Check setting of parameter 31.9 External event 5 source.
