Cause : Overcurrent comes when output current has exceeded internal fault limit. This means the output current has exceeded the internal fault limit set on the drive.

An AE01 fault code in your ABB ACS880 drive indicates an overcurrent situation.

  1. Check supply voltage.
  2. Check that there are no power factor correction capacitors or surge absorbers in supply cable.
  3. Check motor load and acceleration times.
  4. Check power semiconductors (IGBTs) and current transducers.
