Cause : Fan service counter comes when a cooling fan has reached the end of its estimated lifetime. The ABB ACS880 drive monitors the estimated lifespan of its cooling fans through a "fan service counter." This counter is a parameter within the drive that tracks the estimated operating hours of the fans.
An AE84 fault code in your ABB ACS880 drive indicates a fan service counter issue. This fault signifies a problem related to the drive's cooling system, specifically the fans responsible for maintaining a safe operating temperature.
See parameters 105.41 and 105.42. and also check the auxiliary code. The code indicates which fan is to be replaced.
- 0: Main cooling fan
- 1: Auxiliary cooling fan
- 2: Auxiliary cooling fan 2
- 3: Cabinet cooling fan
- 4: PCB compartment fan.
