Cause : Heatsink OvrTmp comes when an over-temperature condition on the heatsink of the drive. Here's how you can address this issue:

  1. Immediate Shutdown: If the drive is displaying an over-temperature fault, it's important to shut down the equipment immediately to prevent damage to the drive components.

  2. Check Ambient Temperature: Ensure that the ambient temperature around the drive is within the specified operating range. High ambient temperatures can contribute to overheating of the drive's heatsink.

  3. Inspect Ventilation: Verify that the drive has adequate ventilation and airflow to dissipate heat effectively. Clear any obstructions blocking airflow around the drive, and ensure that ventilation openings are not blocked.

  4. Reduce Load: If the drive is operating under heavy load, consider reducing the load or optimizing the application to minimize stress on the drive and reduce heat generation.

  5. Check Heatsink: Inspect the heatsink for any obstructions, dust buildup, or damage that could impede heat dissipation. Clean the heatsink and surrounding components if necessary.
