Cause : HW OverCurrent comes when the drive output current has exceeded the hardware current limit. "HW OverCurrent" typically refers to a hardware overcurrent fault in drive.
This fault indicates that the drive has detected an overcurrent condition in its hardware components, which could potentially damage the drive or associated equipment if not addressed promptly.
- The drive output current has exceeded the hardware current limit.
- Check the motor and external wiring to the drive output terminals for a grounded condition.
- Check the programming.
- Check for excess load, and other causes of excess current.
- Insulation Resistance (IR) test the wiring to motor.
