Cause: Safe Stop Activated comes when safe Torque Off (STO) has been activated. The drive's Safe Stop function typically requires a 24V DC signal at a designated digital input terminal (often terminal 37 on some models) for normal operation. If this voltage is lost, the drive will disable the output to the motor and display the A68 alarm.

danfoss a68 alarm indicates that the "Safe Stop" function has been activated. This function is a safety feature that immediately disables the drive's output to the motor, causing it to coast to a stop.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Check the 24V DC Supply to the Safe Stop Input.
  • Inspect the External Safety Circuit.
  • Bypass the Safe Stop Circuit (for testing purposes only).
