Warning /Alarm in 24 VLT FC301/ FC302 : External fans - comes when the fan warning function is a protective function that checks if the fan is running/mounted. The fan warning can be disabled in parameter 14-53 Fan Monitor ([0] Disabled).

For drives with DC fans, a feedback sensor is mounted in the fan. If the fan is commanded to run and there is no feedback from the sensor, this warning appears. For drives with AC fans, the voltage to the fan is monitored.

  1. Check for proper fan operation.
  2. Cycle power to the drive and check that the fan operates briefly at start-up.
  3. Check the sensors on the heat sink.
