Cause : Ground fault comes when the drive has detected a current leakage path between the AC power supply and the drive's grounding system. A ground fault is a serious issue that can potentially damage the drive or other connected equipment.
The GFF fault in drive indicates a Ground Fault condition. This means the drive detects grounding short circuit on the output terminals (U/V/W), the drive closes the gate of the output immediately, the motor runs freely, and the display shows a GFF error.
- Check the motor insulation value with megger.
- Replace the motor if the insulation is poor.
- If the motor cable length exceeds 100 m, decrease the setting value for the carrier frequency.
- Verify the grounding and wiring of the communication circuit.
