Cause : Ground fault comes when the drive has detected a current leakage path between the AC power supply and the drive's grounding system. A ground fault is a serious issue that can potentially damage the drive or other connected equipment.

The GFF error code on your Delta MS300 drive indicates a Ground Fault condition. This means the drive detects grounding short circuit on the output terminals (U/V/W), the drive closes the gate of the output immediately, the motor runs freely, and the display shows a GFF error.

  1. Check the motor insulation value with megger.
  2. Replace the motor if the insulation is poor.
  3. If the motor cable length exceeds 100 m, decrease the setting value for the carrier frequency.
  4. Verify the grounding and wiring of the communication circuit.
