Cause : Over-voltage at stop comes when the drive's DC bus voltage exceeds the allowable limit when the motor is not running. This can be caused by several factors, including regenerative energy from the motor, poor power supply quality, or incorrect VFD settings.

  1. Check if the input voltage is within the rated AC motor drive input voltage range, and check for possible voltage spikes.
  2. Check the wiring of the brake resistor or braking unit.
  3. The ground short circuit current charges the capacitor in the main circuit through the power.
  4. Check if there is ground fault on the motor cable, wiring box and its internal terminals.
