Cause : Overttravel inhibit comes when both the CW and CCW over-travel limits are not active. This is typically related to the overtravel limit switches or software limit settings configured in the servo drive.
"alarm 38" in panasonic servo drive indicate "Overttravel inhibit". This means the motor has reached or exceeded a predefined limit, which is meant to protect the system from moving beyond its safe operating range.
- Check the switches, wires and power supply that constitute the circuits.
- Check that the control power (12 to 24VDC) can be established without delay.
- Check the value of Pr04.
- Correct the wiring, if necessary.
