Cause : Short-Circuit comes when there is an abnormal electrical connection between two points in a circuit that should normally have different potentials.

  2. Inspect Wiring and Connections:

    • Examine all wiring and connections between the drive and the motor. Look for signs of damage, wear, or incorrect connections that might cause a short circuit. Repair or replace any damaged wires or connectors.
  3. Verify Motor Insulation:

    • Check the motor’s insulation resistance using a megohmmeter. If the insulation resistance is low or zero, it indicates a potential short circuit within the motor. In such cases, the motor may need to be repaired or replaced.
  4. Inspect Drive Internal Components:

    • If you have access and expertise, visually inspect the drive’s internal components for signs of damage, such as burned components, swollen capacitors, or other visible issues. Ensure power is disconnected and the drive is fully discharged before inspecting internally.
  5. Measure Voltage and Current:
