Cause: Instantaneous overcurrent comes when the drive has detected an overcurrent condition that exceeded its threshold instantaneously — typically within a very short time like a few microseconds.
0cn fault in fuji FRENIC MEGA drive indicates indicates an Instantaneous overcurrent condition. This means the current flowing to the motor or within its output circuit has momentarily exceeded a safe limit.
- Inspect the motor and cabling.
- Verify that the motor nameplate data (rated current, voltage, frequency, RPM, poles) is correctly programmed into the drive's parameters.
- Ensure there are no sudden starts or jams.
- Check for short circuits between the motor phases. Resistance between phases should be roughly equal and non-zero.
