Cause: Motor protection (PTC/NTC thermistor) comes when the temperature of the motor has risen abnormally. This means the resistance of the PTC/NTC thermistor exceeds a set threshold.
0h4 fault in fuji FRENIC MEGA drive indicates a Motor Protection (PTC/NTC Thermistor) Fault. This means the VFD detects an abnormal temperature condition in the motor, as reported by a thermistor connected to the drive's dedicated thermistor input terminals.
- Ensure motor is not overloaded or stalled.
- Confirm motor ventilation and cooling.
- Measure the temperature around the inverter.
- Check if the cooling system of the motor is operating normally.
- Check the PTC thermistor specifications and recalculate the detection voltage.
