Cause: PG wire break comes when the pulse generator (PG) wire has been broken somewhere in the circuit. This fault only appears when the drive is set to operate in Vector Control with PG or Closed-Loop Control, where encoder feedback is critical for speed and torque accuracy.

pg fault in fuji FRENIC MEGA drive indicates PG wire break. This means the encoder feedback (PG = Pulse Generator) signal has been lost, interrupted, or is not behaving as expected.

  • Check whether the pulse generator (PG) is correctly connected to the option card or any wire is broken.
  • Check whether the PG is connected correctly. Or, tighten up the related terminal screws.
  • Check if appropriate noise control measures have been implemented.
