E61.00 fault in inovance IS580 drive indicates Braking IGBT works overtime. This means the braking transistor is being activated more often or for longer durations than it should be, which can lead to overheating or damage.

  • If the braking resistor is too small (in wattage or ohms), it won’t dissipate energy fast enough, forcing the IGBT to work longer.
  • The motor might be regenerating more energy than the resistor can handle, especially during deceleration.
  • Ensure brake resistor matches the drive specifications.
