Cause : Current detection fault comes when drive current section circuit is faulty. This fault also comes when the hall is abnormal or the drive board is abnormal. This can lead to incorrect operation, reduced performance, or even protective shutdowns.

"Err18" fault in inovance MD290 drive indicate "Current detection fault". This means a problem with the drive's ability to accurately measure the current flowing through the motor.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check Current Sensors:

    • Inspect current sensors: Look for physical damage, loose connections, or corrosion on the current sensors.
    • Measure sensor output: Use a multimeter to measure the output voltage of the current sensors. Compare the readings to the expected values based on the motor's current.
    • Replace faulty sensors: If a sensor is damaged or not providing accurate readings, replace it with a new one.
  2. Verify Drive Internal Components:

    • Check for internal faults: If the current sensors appear to be functioning correctly, there might be a fault within the drive's internal circuitry.
    • Consult the drive's manual or seek professional assistance: Refer to the drive's user manual for specific troubleshooting guidelines or contact a qualified technician.
  3. Reduce Noise and Interference:

    • Check for nearby sources of noise: Identify any electrical equipment or devices that might be generating noise or interference.
    • Shielding: If necessary, shield the current sensors or cables to reduce the impact of noise.
    • Grounding: Ensure proper grounding of the drive and connected equipment to minimize noise.
