Cause : Runaway comes when UVW phase sequence is incorrect or Motor rotor initial phase detection is incorrect due to interference at power-on.

Er.234 fault in inovance IS650 servo drive indicates Runaway. This means UVW phase sequence is incorrect or encoder type is set incorrectly or wiring is incorrect.

  1. Check whether UVW phase sequence on servo drive is consistent with that on motor side.
  2. UVW phase sequence is correct. But Er.234 occurs once servo drive is enabled. Re-power on the servo system.
  3. Check whether encoder cable you use is standard configuration of Inovance.
  4. Check whether cable is aging, corrosive or is connected loosely.
