  1. Thermocouples:

  3. Thermistors:

    • Thermistors are temperature-sensitive resistors made of semiconductor materials. They operate based on the principle that the electrical resistance of the semiconductor changes with temperature. Thermistors are known for their high sensitivity and are commonly used in temperature measurement and control applications, such as in consumer electronics, automotive systems, and medical devices.
  4. Infrared (IR) Sensors:

    • IR sensors measure temperature by detecting the thermal radiation emitted by an object. They use an optical system to focus the infrared radiation onto a detector, which converts the radiation into a temperature reading. IR sensors are non-contact and suitable for measuring the temperature of moving or inaccessible objects. They are commonly used in industrial, automotive, and medical applications.
  5. Fiber Optic Temperature Sensors:

    • Fiber optic temperature sensors use optical fibers to measure temperature based on various principles, such as fluorescence, absorption, or interferometry. These sensors are immune to electromagnetic interference and suitable for harsh environments. They are used in applications such as power generation, aerospace, and medical diagnostics.
  6. Thermal Imaging Cameras:

    • Thermal imaging cameras detect and visualize the infrared radiation emitted by objects to create a thermal image. They provide a visual representation of temperature variations across a surface or scene, allowing for non-contact temperature measurement and thermal analysis in various applications, including building inspections, electrical maintenance, and medical diagnostics.
