OC1 fault in INVT GD10 drive indicates an overcurrent fault during acceleration. This means the motor is drawing more current than the drive can handle during startup.

Common Causes:

  1. Rapid Acceleration: If the acceleration time is set too short, the motor may draw excessive current during the initial acceleration phase.
  2. Mechanical Load: A heavy mechanical load or a mechanical obstruction can cause the motor to draw more current.
  3. Incorrect Motor Parameter Settings: If the motor parameters are not configured correctly, the drive may miscalculate the required current.
  4. Power Supply Issues: Insufficient power supply or voltage fluctuations can also trigger the OC1 fault.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Check Acceleration Time:
    • Use the drive's programming software to adjust the acceleration time to a slower value.
    • Start with a longer acceleration time and gradually reduce it until the fault disappears.
  2. Inspect Mechanical Load:
    • Ensure that the motor shaft rotates freely and there are no mechanical obstructions.
    • Check for any binding or excessive friction in the mechanical system.
  3. Verify Motor Parameters:
    • Ensure that the motor's rated power, voltage, and current are correctly entered in the drive's parameter settings.
    • Consult the motor's nameplate for accurate values.
  4. Check Power Supply:
    • Verify that the power supply voltage and current are within the specified range.
    • Ensure that the power supply is capable of delivering the required power to the drive.
  5. Reset the Drive:
    • Turn off the power supply to the drive and wait for a few minutes.
    • Turn the power back on and try to restart the motor.
