Cause : Ground Fault comes when an ground fault overcurrent flows due to an earth fault that occurred on the inverter's output side (load side).

A "ground fault" in drive refers to unintentional electrical connection between the drive electrical components and the ground (earth). When this happens, current flows through an unintended path, posing safety hazards and potentially damaging the VSD or other connected equipment1. These faults are typically displayed as “E14” or an analogous code on the drive’s Human-Machine Interface and may also be termed “earth leakage”.

  1. Check whether the electric motor insulation is weakening.
  2. Check whether the wiring between the frequency converter and the electric motor is damaged.
  3. Check drive and motor earthing.
