Cause: Magnetizing current fail comes when it was not possible to find a suitable value of magnetising current to achieve the required operating condition for the motor.
ATN4 MAG CURRENT FAIL fault in Parker AC890 drive indicates a failure related to the magnetic current (also known as magnetizing current or field current) control within the motor. This means the drive is unable to properly establish or maintain the required magnetic field in the motor.
- Check the motor data is correct, especially nameplate rpm and motor volts.
- Also check that the motor is correctly rated for the drive.
