Cause: Feedback encoder calibration error comes when the drive has detected a problem during the encoder calibration process or that the calibration data is invalid or missing.
ECAL FBK ENCODR CAL fault in Parker AC890 drive indicates Feedback encoder calibration error. This means the drive attempted to calibrate the encoder (usually during initialization or startup), but the calibration failed or the encoder feedback signal is invalid.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check physical connections: Verify that the encoder cable is secure and undamaged.
- Verify feedback settings in DSE Lite: Go to feedback configuration.
- Confirm encoder power: Measure voltage on encoder power pins.
- Perform Encoder Calibration (if required): Some motors/encoders require a one-time commutation alignment.
