Cause : PHASE FAIL comes when one or more phases of the 3-phase supply is missing. This can occur due to various reasons, such as a blown fuse, a faulty breaker, or a problem with the external power source.

PHASE FAIL fault in parker AC690 drive indicate that there is a power supply issue to the Parker RAC690 drive, specifically a failure in one or more of the three phases of the incoming power supply.

Possible Causes and Solutions:

  1. Power Supply Issues:

    • Solution: Check the fuses, circuit breakers, and external power source for any faults or damage. Replace any faulty components as needed.
    • Consider: Using a multimeter to measure the voltage and current of each phase.
  2. Wiring Problems:

    • Solution: Inspect the wiring connections to the drive for any loose, damaged, or shorted wires. Ensure that the wires are correctly connected to the appropriate terminals.
    • Consider: Using a continuity tester to check the integrity of the wiring.
  3. External Power Source Issues:

    • Solution: If the power supply is from an external source, such as a generator or a transformer, check for any problems with that source. Ensure that it is providing a stable and balanced power supply.
  4. Drive Internal Fault:

    • Solution: If none of the above solutions resolve the issue, it might be a fault within the drive itself. Consult the drive's manual or contact Parker's technical support for further troubleshooting or replacement options.
