Cause : Current Measurement error comes when an error on the current circuit measurement has been detected.

"INF9" Internal error 9 in Schneider drive indicates that the drive has detected an issue with its "current sensing" or "measurement system". This can affect the drive's ability to accurately control the motor and ensure safe operation.

Steps to Address Internal error 9 Current Circuit Measurement Error:

  1. Immediate Actions:

    • Stop Operation: If the drive is running, stop it to prevent any potential damage or unsafe conditions.
    • Reset Error: Attempt to reset the error using the drive's control panel or through the connected control system. This may clear temporary issues.
  2. Power Cycle the Drive:

    • Power Off: Turn off the power to the drive.
    • Wait: Wait for a few minutes to ensure all capacitors discharge fully.
    • Power On: Turn the power back on and see if the error persists.
  3. Inspect Electrical Connections:

    • Check Connections: Inspect all electrical connections related to the current sensing circuitry. Ensure that all connectors are securely fastened and that there are no loose wires.
    • Look for Damage: Check for any signs of damage, such as burnt connectors or damaged cables.
  4. Verify Current Sensors:

    • Sensor Condition: Inspect the current sensors (CTs or shunt resistors) for any physical damage.
    • Calibration: Ensure that the current sensors are properly calibrated. Incorrect calibration can lead to measurement errors.
  5. Inspect Drive Components:

    • Internal Components: If you are qualified, open the drive and inspect the internal components related to current measurement for any obvious issues.
    • Cooling System: Ensure that the drive’s cooling system is functioning properly to prevent overheating, which can affect current measurement accuracy.
