Cause : Motor stall detected error comes when the stall monitoring function has detected an error. This means the output frequency is smaller than the stalling frequency "Stall Frequency".

"STF" fault in Schneider ATV950 drive indicate "Motor Stall condition". This means the drive has detected a stall condition in the motor, which may lead to overheating or damage if not addressed.

Follow These Steps to Correct "STF Motor stall detected error":

  1. Check Load Conditions:

    • Mechanical Load: Verify that the load connected to the motor is within acceptable limits. An excessive load can cause the motor to stall.
    • Jamming: Inspect for any mechanical binding or jamming in the system that may be preventing the motor from turning.
  2. Inspect Motor Parameters:

    • Configuration Settings: Ensure that motor parameters (such as current limits, acceleration, and deceleration times) are correctly configured in the drive.
    • Torque Settings: Verify torque settings to ensure they are appropriate for the application.
  3. Check Feedback Devices:

    • Signal Inspection: Ensure that feedback devices (like encoders) are functioning correctly and providing accurate signals to the drive.
    • Wiring Check: Inspect the wiring of feedback devices for any damage or disconnections.
  4. Run Diagnostics:

    • Diagnostic Tools: Use Schneider Electric diagnostic tools to analyze drive performance and error logs.
    • Error Logs: Review logs for additional information or related faults.
  5. Inspect Cooling and Environment:

    • Cooling System: Ensure that the motor is adequately cooled and that there are no obstructions to airflow.
    • Environmental Conditions: Check for conditions (like overheating or excessive dust) that could affect motor performance.
