Cause : Encoder adjustment comes when signal amplitude Resolver/encoder in the critical range. This means the signal strength is at an acceptable level for the drive to function properly.

The A018 alarm in siemens master drive indicate Encoder adjustment error. This means the signal strength from the position sensor is within acceptable limits for the drive to function properly.

1. As a general rule, it is necessary to initialize the starting position again => power OFF/ON or switch to the drive settings and back again!!.
2. If alarm A18 occurs in the"Ready" status (r001 = 009) while an encoder is in use, the amplitude of the CD track signal is too small, or the connection to CD_Track may be interrupted, or an encoder without CD-Track is in use.
3. In the case of an encoder without CD track, the P130 must be correctly set.
