Cause : Pre-charging comes when he monitoring time of pre-charging has expired, i.e. the DC link voltage has not reached the setpoint within 3 secs.

An F002 fault in Siemens Masterdrive indicates a pre-charging fault. This means the DC link voltage isn't building up properly when the drive is started.

  1. When pre-charging, the minimum DC link voltage (P071 Line Volts x 1.34) of 80 % has not been reached.
  2. The maximum pre-charging time of 3 seconds has been exceeded.
  3. Check the supply voltage.
  4. Compare witth P071 Line Volts (Compare P071 with the DC link voltage on DC units).
  5. Check the rectifier/regenerative unit on DC units.
  6. The rectifier/regenerative unit must be switched on before the inverter is switched on.
