Cause : DC link undervoltage comes when the voltage in the DC link, which is the internal connection between the rectifier and inverter, has dropped below the acceptable limit for the drive to function properly.

An F008 fault in Siemens Masterdrive indicates a DC link undervoltage issue. This means the voltage in the DC link, which is the internal connection between the rectifier and inverter, has dropped below the acceptable limit while the drive is running.

  1. Check the line voltage (AC-AC) or the input direct voltage (DC-AC).
  2. Compare value with P071 (Line Volts).
  3. Check input rectifier.
