Cause : Motor temperature comes when the motor's temperature has exceeded the permissible limits set in the drive parameters. This can cause the drive to trip to protect the motor from damage due to overheating.

The fault code F0020 in a Siemens Masterdrive indicates a motor temperature fault. This means the motor has exceeded its safe operating temperature limit set in the drive.

1. Check the motor (load, ventilation, etc.). The actual motor temperature can be read in r009 Motor Temperature.
2. Check the KTY84-input at connector -X103:41,42 for short-circuit or wire breakage.
3. The current motor temperature can be read in r009 (Motor Temperat.).
4. Check the sensor for cable break, short- circuit.
