Cause : Motor data identification active comes when the motor control system is in the process of identifying or collecting data about the connected motor. This process is commonly known as motor parameter identification or auto-tuning.

  • Motor data identification (P1900) selected or running.
  1. In motor control applications, it's crucial for the drive to accurately identify the characteristics and parameters of the connected motor to optimize its performance and ensure safe operation. This includes parameters such as motor rated voltage, rated current, pole count, winding resistance, and inductance.
  2. During motor data identification, the drive may perform various tests and measurements to determine these parameters. This may involve applying controlled voltage and current signals to the motor and monitoring its response. By analyzing the motor's behavior under different conditions, the drive can estimate the motor parameters accurately.
  3. Once the motor data identification process is complete, the drive can use the collected data to adjust its control algorithms and parameters to match the characteristics of the connected motor. This ensures optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of the motor control system.
  4. It's essential to allow the motor data identification process to complete successfully before operating the motor under normal conditions. Interrupting the process prematurely or operating the motor with incorrect parameters may lead to suboptimal performance, inefficiency, or even damage to the motor or drive.

Therefore, when you see the message "Motor data identification active," it's advisable to wait until the process is complete before proceeding with normal operation.
