Cause : Control Circuit Error (EEPROM memory Data Error) comes when the drive power supply was de-energized while a communication option entered a parameter Write command. An EEPROM peripheral circuit error occurred.

CPF06 is a fault code indicating an error with the EEPROM memory data in a Yaskawa drive. EEPROM stands for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory. It's a type of non-volatile memory that retains data even when the power is off. In Yaskawa drives, the EEPROM stores important configuration parameters for the drive's operation.

Here are some recommended steps to troubleshoot a CPF06 fault in a Yaskawa drive :

  1. Turn Off and On the Drive: Simply cycling the power by turning the drive off and then on again can sometimes resolve minor glitches that might have caused the fault.
  2. Check Connections: Visually inspect the control board and terminal board for any burn marks or physical damage. Re-seat the boards if necessary.
  3. Reset Parameters: Yaskawa drives have a parameter that allows initializing the control board (and potentially the terminal board). This can reset the EEPROM data to factory defaults. There might be dedicated parameters for 2-wire or 3-wire initialization .
