Cause : Short Circuit/IGBT Failure- If your Yaskawa R1000 drive is indicating a "Short Circuit" fault, it means that a short circuit has been detected in the drive or its connected components. A short circuit occurs when there is an unintended connection between two points with different potentials, resulting in excessive current flow.

1. Overheating caused damage to the motor or the motor insulation is not satisfactory.
2. Measure the motor insulation resistance, and replace the motor if there is electrical conduction or unserviceable insulation.
