The Lenze i550 protec Drive is a series of decentralized frequency inverters designed for demanding environments and applications where the drive needs to be mounted outside of a control cabinet, close to the motor. It’s part of the Lenze i500 series, known for its efficiency, connectivity, and user-friendliness, but with a focus on robust protection.
The award-winning i550 protec frequency inverter uses the same tried-and-tested technology used in our control cabinet inverters. It only differs in terms of a higher degree of housing protection and an adapted design. If there is not enough space in the control cabinet or the inverter has to be mounted close to the motor in various machine modules, then this versatile and reliable device is the right solution. Thanks to the extension box, a disconnect switch and operating elements can be used. The requirements of the Ecodesign Directive, Standard EN IEC 61800-9-2, are met.
