A0050 alarm in WEG CFW701 Drive indicates an IGBT High Temperature. This means the power modules are running unusually hot, warning of a potential thermal shutdown if cooling is not improved.
Cause:
- High surrounding air temperature (>50 °C (122 °F)) and high output current.
- Blocked or defective cooling fan.
- Very dirty heatsink.
Note: This alarm can be disabled by setting parameter P0353 = 2 or 3.
Remedy:
Clean the heatsink fins. Verify fan operation. Check surrounding ambient temperature. Alarm can be bypassed by setting parameter P0353 to 2 or 3.
