F0185 fault in WEG CFW701 Drive

F0185 fault in WEG CFW701 Drive indicates a Pre-Charge Contactor Fault. This means the main relay that bypasses the soft-start resistors failed to close, often due to an input phase loss.

Cause:

  • Defective pre-charge contactor.
  • Open command fuse.
  • Phase loss at the L1/R or L2/S input.
  • Incorrect setting for mechanical models “E” powered by the DC Link (parameter P0355 is set to 1).

Note: For those models should be set P0355 = 0.

Remedy:

Verify input phase lines and trace fuses. Check pre-charge contactor and correct parameters in P0355.
