Cause : Overtemperature heat sink comes when the temperature of the power unit heat sink has exceeded the permissible limit value. The cause of this fault is insufficient cooling, fan failure or ambient temperature too high.

F30004 fault in siemens 6RA80 DC Drive indicate Overtemperature heat sink. This means the temperature of heat sink has exceeded the drive's allowable limit.

  1. Check whether the fan is running.
  2. Check the fan elements.
  3. Check whether the ambient temperature is in the permissible range.
  4. Check the motor load.
  5. Reduce the pulse frequency if this is higher than the rated pulse frequency.
