Parker MOTORNET-DC is a unique servo system that integrates the servo drive directly into the brushless servo motor. This design offers a decentralized approach to motion control, providing several benefits for specific applications.
Features
Motornet DC is a brushless servomotor system with integrated servo drive, supplied from a DC-bus voltage. Hybrid power, control and communications cables, a Power supply and Interface module complete the system and local I/O’s can be connected directly
to the motor.
- Feedback: Resolver / EnDat (optional)
- Fieldbus: EtherCAT
- 2 digital Inputs / 2 digital Outputs
- Protection level: IP64 standard, IP65 / IP67 (optional)
- STO (optional)
- CAN Service Bus
Ideally suited to multi-axis applications where a number of motors are mounted in close proximity on the machine, Motornet DC allows a decentralized approach to motion control to be taken.
- Packaging Machines
- Rotary Tables
- Filling, bottling and capping machines
Motion control functionality is executed by means of EtherCAT communication or optionally CANopen DS402 communication.
Key Features:
- Integrated Design: The MOTORNET-DC combines a brushless servo motor and a servo drive into a single unit. This eliminates the need for separate drives and reduces cabling complexity.
- Decentralized Control: By integrating the drive with the motor, the MOTORNET-DC allows for a decentralized motion control architecture. This means that each motor has its own drive, reducing the need for a central control cabinet.
- Compact and Modular: The integrated design makes the MOTORNET-DC compact and modular, allowing for easy installation and expansion. EtherCAT Communication: The MOTORNET-DC typically uses EtherCAT communication, a high-speed industrial Ethernet protocol that enables precise and synchronized motion control.
- Rugged Design: These motors are designed for industrial use, and are built to withstand the rigors of harsh environments.
Benefits:
- Reduced Cabling Costs: The integrated design significantly reduces cabling costs and complexity.
- Smaller Footprint: The compact design saves space and reduces the overall footprint of the control system.
- Simplified Installation: The modular design and simplified cabling make installation easier and faster.
- Improved Performance: The decentralized control architecture can improve the performance of the servo system by reducing latency and noise.
- Increased Flexibility: The modular design allows for easy expansion and customization of the motion control system.
Applications:
The Parker MOTORNET-DC servo system is particularly well-suited for applications where multiple servo motors are used in close proximity, such as:
- Packaging machines
- Rotary tables
- Filling, bottling, and capping machines
- Material handling systems
