7510 abb fault means COMMUNICATION MODULE error. It means the drive’s main control board has lost its link with the fieldbus adapter module.

7510 COMMUNICATION MODULE fault in ABB ACS800 drive
Common Causes:
  • Physical Connections: Loose or damaged cables, faulty network components.
  • Parameter Settings: Incorrect timeout settings or fault function parameters.
  • Network Problems: Issues with the PLC, scanner, or the fieldbus network itself.
  • Module Failure: A problem with the communication module hardware.
Troubleshooting Steps:
  1. Check the fieldbus network status and the controller (PLC/DCS) communication.
  2. Check all cable connections to the drive and fieldbus adapter.
  3. Check fieldbus parameters (e.g., group 70, 30.18, 30.19).
  4. Try increasing the timeout setting in the drive (for the specific fieldbus).
  5. Ensure the "Master" device (PLC/Controller) can communicate.
